Take It Easy Burgers

Preparation Time
20 mins

Ingredients
350 gm minced meat (beef) - should make 4 large paddies
1 slice old toast, ripped in small pieces, soaked in milk
1 egg
Salt & Pepper
10 leaves of green salad
1 ripe avocado
bacon (as much as you like)
1 large tomato, thinly sliced
1 Japanese cucumber or half normal cucumber
4 slices of any cheese

Condiments (optional)
Ketchup
Mayonnaise
Mustard

Toolkit
Frying pan, knife, cutting board, mixing bowl

Preparation
***listen to the Eagles song to get you in the mood***

1. Press bread to get rid of excess milk.
2. Mix meat, bread, egg and any spices you like in a mixing bowl & mix.
3. Create 4 equally large paddies. They should be a little flatter and about the size of my palm. ;)
5. Keep paddies in fridge while rest is prepared.
6. Slice tomatoes, wash salad, half avocado, slice cucumber.
7. Fry the bacon. Yes, this is good.
8. Once bacon has reached your desired crispness, take out, but keep the grease in the pan!

9. Fry burgers in bacon grease on high heat. Don't over fry, about 2 min each side (depending on thickness of paddies) should leave them medium rare inside. Place cheese on paddies as soon as you have turned them over.
10. Arrange everything on a plate. You can stack the burgers or place them next to each other- do what you like.
11. Burgers in my opinion are made better with condiments, so if you have it, place ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard (!) on table so everyone can customize their plate.

Enjoy and reap the love.
